Overview

MindFol does not require an account and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking. The app does not upload your answers, preferences, contacts, or other private content to MindFol. If you choose to appear on the public supporters list, you may voluntarily provide limited information by email as described below.

Question Downloads

When the app is opened, it may make a standard HTTPS request to download the latest public conversation-question files. No answers, preferences, contacts, identifiers, or other user content are included in this request.

As with any HTTPS request, the hosting infrastructure necessarily receives limited technical information, such as the requesting IP address, in order to return the file. MindFol does not use this information to identify, profile, advertise to, or track users.

Supporter Subscriptions

Optional supporter subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment and provides MindFol with subscription information needed to unlock the selected supporter tier, such as the product, entitlement status, expiration date, renewal status, and an App Store transaction identifier. MindFol does not receive your full payment-card details.

Optional Public Supporter Listing

If you have a supporter subscription, you may choose to email andras@akarpati.com with the name you would like displayed and the subscription identifier shown in the app. This is entirely optional and is not required to use your subscription or any app feature.

This email may include your email address, chosen display name, subscription identifier, and any other information you include in the message. MindFol uses this information only to verify your supporter subscription, add or manage your requested public listing, communicate with you about that listing, and prevent misuse.

Only the display name you request is published in the public supporters file and shown in the app. Your email address and subscription identifier are not published. By sending the request, you consent to the publication of the chosen display name.

You may withdraw that consent or request correction or removal of your name at any time by emailing andras@akarpati.com. Removing your public name does not cancel or otherwise affect your subscription. Information supporting the listing is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to verify and administer it, handle disputes or misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Supporters List Downloads

The app downloads the public supporters file only when you open the Supporters screen. The file contains the display names submitted for publication. As with the question-file request, the hosting infrastructure receives limited technical information needed to return the file, such as the requesting IP address.

Information Stored on Your Device

The downloaded question file and app preferences may be stored locally on your device so MindFol can work offline. This information never leaves your device and can be removed by deleting the app.

Website

The MindFol website is a static site that hosts this policy, the public question files, and the public supporters file. It has no login, contact form, cookies, advertising, or analytics.

Changes

If MindFol’s data practices change, this policy will be updated accordingly.

MindFol is provided under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
